Since becoming a full-time artist in 1990, Peter Kiss’s wood-based sculptures have been featured in numerous art galleries in Canada and the United States. In 2001, he established his own art gallery on Granville Island, one of Vancouver’s most vibrant cultural and tourist destinations, providing art collectors and visitors an intimate look at his evolving body of work. Peter’s signature style combines 2½-dimensional wall-mounted wood art with fully 3-dimensional wood sculptures. His wall-hung pieces often depict layered landscape and abstract art, crafted from built-up wood and finished with intricate painting techniques to create depth and texture. His 3D wood sculptures are primarily figurative, showcasing his mastery of form, balance, and storytelling through natural materials.
